This country house, built by the owner, incoporates a very large 3-double bedroomed apartment on the lower floor which is let to clients. Clients also have the added benefit of an exclusively private pool with a large terraced area with sunbeds, table and chairs for outside dining. PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN THE PROPERTY IS RENTED, THE HOUSE ABOVE IS ALWAYS EMPTY, ASSURING YOUR PRIVACY. The property is set in a simply beautiful position, with terraces facing south - west towards the distant sea views of the coast at Torre del Mar, situated on the foothills of the mountains of Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama. The 100,000-acre Tejeda national park, between the provinces of Malaga and Granada, is on your doorstep! The view from the living room and terraces is really breath-taking.
Situated roughly a mile from the whitewashed village of Cómpeta, Casa Haza Rila is a recently built property, with all the luxuries you would expect, whilst built in the traditional Andalusian style typical of the area. Whilst the Casa is situated on the floor beneath the owner’s house, the house above is rarely used. Whilst visitors are using the property, they have private use of the 5m x 3m pool and terrace.
The property is furnished to a high specification. The sitting area has leather furniture, satellite TV with UK programmes, as well as local Spanish TV.
There is a separate dining area with additional comfortable seating. There is also a modern, well-equipped kitchen with fitted automatic washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, cooker, coffee machine and toaster.
The facilities also include three large bedrooms, two with double beds, one with an en-suite shower, sink, bidet and WC, the other with twin single beds. There is a large family bathroom with bath and shower over, sink and WC.
Outside there is plenty of room, with a large tiled sitting/bathing area with BBQ, shaded area and parking for several cars, surrounded by lemon and orange trees, form which you may pick the fruit. Sun loungers are provided.
The pace of life in Cómpeta is relaxed and friendly. There are quaint narrow streets, lined with whitewashed houses. You’ll find most of the activity centred around the main square in the town. Here there are plenty of very good restaurants, bars, banks, shops and a well-stocked supermarket. as well as a bakery, fishmonger and a Saturday market which sells an excellent choice of vegetables. There is a golf course, aqua park, horse riding and extensive walking to be found within a short drive. More recent additions to the local amenities are off-road trail riding courses, located in Cómpeta, offering 2 days of amazing motorcycling in the sunny sierras, and paragliding - the best way to see Cómpeta (and Casa Haza Rila) from the air! For walkers, there are plenty of tracks, all with wonderful views.
In short, Casa Haza Rila offers comfort and tranquility set in a stunning location, with easy access to the lively town of Cómpeta, whilst only half an hour’s drive from the coast. You can really make your holiday as relaxing or as energetic as you wish.
Casa Haza Rila is about one hour away from Malaga Airport by car: an easy drive. Granada Airport is currently about 2 hours away, but with the new motorway opening soon between Nerja and Granada, this is becoming a feasible option for those wanting to start or finish their holidays with a trip to this beautiful and spectacular city.
