The Penthouse really is a special place to stay. It has been designed with the utmost attention to detail and finished to a high standard. It comprises of four bedrooms and a large open plan living area, with modern state of the art kitchen. There is a huge terrace which wraps around the entire property with various different zones for eating, reading, sunbathing or snoozing. The jewel in the crown is the Canadian cedarwood jacuzzi which seats six comfortably, and from where you can enjoy unspoiled views across the sea, or relax with a glass of wine under the stars
The views to the sea and mountains beyond are equally spectacular from the jacuzzi, the various outside spaces and through the windows of the open plan living area and three of the bedrooms. Due to the design of the apartment, the clear Andaluz light changes as you move from space tospace. Sun or shade can be found throughout the day.
The house is situated on the edge of the Cerro Gordo natural park with it's pine trees and secret coves. A walk through the park leads you to the rocky vantage point of the Mirador del Cerro Gordo from where you can enjoy more sweeping ocean views from daybreak to sunset.
The Penthouse has four bedrooms and two modern bathrooms (one ensuite). The ensuite has a large, deep bath with shower above, while the family bathroom has a spacious walk in 'rain' shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed (1.80 x 2.00) and opens to the terrace and views. It has a television and DVD player. There is another double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a fourth bedroom with sofa bed, television and DVD player. This room is often used as a second living room or playroom for the children to escape to.
The apartment remains cool and airy during Summer, but is also fitted with air conditioning should you require it. There is also full central heating which can be used during the colder months, such as January/February/March when the evenings and nights can become that bit chillier.
Because we are nearby, we are able to offer you a personal service to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. We can arrange a bespoke service including sports activities, beauty treatments, language classes or even provisions for your arrival. Please see further details below.

There are no end of activities that can be enjoyed in La Herradura. You will find an information pack that will inform you of the activities available during your stay. We can organize scuba diving, horse riding, language classes, personal training, beauty treatments and even excursions to Granada and the Alhambra Palace.
We aim to provide you with a complete personal service with as much or as little help as you require, and are able to do this as we live close by. We will be pleased to meet you personally and show you around the property on your arrival.
We also provide 3 levels of welcome pack including food, drink and provisions should you be arriving late or don't have the energy to go shopping on your first few days. Please do contact us for any requirements, however small, and we will try to help.
We provide a Gold, Silver & Bronze provisions pack service for those guests arriving too late to shop, or who would like to enjoy a a selection of local produce. The most basic pack includes 'essentials' such as bread, milk, tea, coffee, wine and toilet rolls etc. While the more complete pack includes local breads, meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits, cereals, yoghurts, biscuits........... and cava! Please ask us for more details.
For any clients interested in a more active holiday, then bring your training kit as Ash is a locally established personal trainer who can offer you a bespoke service should you wish to exercise during your stay. Anything from runs through the Natural Park, to cycle rides, to one on one sessions on secluded coves. Please see
Sophie is a beautician should you wish to spoil yourselves with a manicure or pedicure during your stay. She has even carried out SOS first day services for clients who have had no time for waxing before their holiday! She has also carried out light spray tans for clients wishing to avoid early holiday pale legs!
