The house is located in the old quarter of the Albayzin on the top of the old town. From there we can easily access the Frascunda balcony, the Moorish castle or gardens of the Paseo de las Flores.
Close by is the very typical Bar El Pesetas, with an exceptional terrace to enjoy great food. There is also the old town hall, where there are often craft shows, the old prison, and the Tavern La Alhaja, with its lovely terrace to enjoy a drink.
Salobreña is a beautiful enclave of culture and tourism. The historic center is made up of neighborhoods built along the wall in the fortified medieval town. The Neighborhoods of La Loma, La Source, the Brocal or Albayzín, retain amazing corners and authentic medieval structure that winds through streets, corners, doors, small windows, passageways and vaults.
Among its most interesting monuments and sites are the Moorish Castle, the Mudejar Church of the Rosary, Brocal Tower, the Dome of the Plaza, Paseo de la Flores, the viewpoints of Postigo and Albaycín. Not forgetting the sample Archaeology Salobreña, which outlines the long history of the town through models, ceramics, tools and displays.
The festivities of Salobreña and its neighborhoods are one of the biggest attractions of this town. Throughout the year, the calendar is dotted with holiday and leisure proposals, which contain the lore and holiday customs and habits, for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. At Easter, Viernes Santo highlights. This day is the procession of the Virgen de la Soledad, very special because it involves only women.
The Day of the Cross in May becomes the spring festival, numerous neighborhoods and streets are decorated by their neighbors with crosses and flowers. We highly recommend the Fiestas de San Juan, Semana Santa, and Gran Fiesta of Salobreña, during the first week of October with the traditional pilgrimage is celebrated in honor of the Virgen del Rosario the first Sunday in October.
